Laurie 1235 is a robot
Who flies through the stars
In his dark matter rocket

As he cruises around a galaxy
Of carbon based life
And orange suns

He goes past solar systems
Collecting stardust
And silica

To analyse in a lab
At the back of his ship
Laurie 1235

Believes in a God
Called man
Who sent him

In this rocket
Long ago
When the universe was young

And the galaxy full of hot suns
Now Laurie 1235
Lives alone

Studying the dust
Avoiding meteors
And longing for company
